It’s that time again where Gigi realizes she missed something and has to update the Pokemon Bracket Fusion Project spreadsheet. This time it’s me forgetting the third games in the series tend make new additions. Took a bit since I haven’t (yet?) gotten Ultra Sun or Moon. Be warned if you look at the spreadsheet or vote for the next fusion there will be spoilers! I’ll be posting some spoilers a bit further down, but first some non-spoilers. Due to pairs rearranging, Aron/Shieldon, Deoxys/Mewtwo, Joltik/Raikou, and Flabebe/Ralts are now deprecated. Oddly, some previously deprecated pairs are now back together as well! For a reminder, those would be Espurr/Gothita:

Purrita [Psychic] -> Meowelle [Psychic]

Ancient people once thought that Purrita and Meowelle were a female only species. Modern Pokeologists know this to be false, but sometimes the general public forgets.
Like Meowstic, Male Meowelle has defensive stats and moveset, Female has offensive stats and movement.

And Genesect/Zygarde:

Gardect (Alpha) [Bug/Ground] || Gardect (Beta) [Bug/Dragon] || Gardect (Gamma) [Ground/Steel] || Gardect (Delta) [Steel/Bug] || Gardect (Epsilon) [Dragon/Steel]
A curious Pokemon, Gardect is considered one of the rarest Pokemon with the highest populations. It is unknown how many Gardect their actually are, but Gardect have the bizarre ability to transfer DNA from one to another. When enough DNA is gathered into one Gardect, it will change into a higher form, granting more abilities. They only do this in great times of need, so most Gardect exist in their Alpha or Beta forms, with only a few sightings of Gamma or Delta Gardect being reported. Testing has allowed scientists to theorize what Epsilon Gardect may look like…but they fear what it could do if it was ever unleashed.

Also, this should be the last update that changes things. I definitely will still be working on this thing by the time Gen 8 rolls around, but I will not be adding that to the project. I gotta make the cut off at some point!

And finally, DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS!

I originally planned not to post spoilers here, but making note of a certain situation makes me have to post a spoiler…so there’s that. But since I’ve posted the above notice, I can freely talk about that!

Those new pairs are: Aron/Klink, Baltoy/Inkay, Burmy/Flabebe, Cresselia/Munna, Cutiefly/Grubbin, Deoxys/Unown, Drifloon/Frillish, Grimer/Poipole, Honedge/Onix, Hoopa/Xurkitree, Joltik/Shuckle, Klefki/Magnemite, Litwick/Blacephalon, Mewtwo/Necrozma, Raikou/Zeraora, Ralts/Scatterbug, Seedot/Solosis, and Shieldon/Stakataka. For Necrozma, just like Kyurem, its “Dawn” forms are not included in this project, as they themselves are fusions themselves. Ultra Necrozma is included, as well as Dusk Lycanroc.
