I drew Benu as a falcon companion (cross between Orange Breasted and Lanner falcons) for an RPG scout/ranger, Zyre. They were part of a Song of Ice and Fire RPG course (in college) where the class roleplayed then crafted stories based off our adventures.

Benu and Zyre were influenced by (and influenced) characters of the same name from Project Altara.
