Random Pokemon Generator v2.3
Jul 11 2021
Random Pokemon Generator – What is this?
Push button > get a bunch of randomly generated Pokemon. Many of these exist on the internet, but mine has a ton of filters and you can generate as many Pokemon as you want!
Updates:
- Settings!
- Additionally settings for the generator to control the output. Available settings are:
- Allow Duplicates – Results can return the same Pokemon more than once (off by default).
- Show Images – Disable to remove the Pokemon images (on by default).
- Animate Images – Images now have a cute lil bounce animation. The speed of the bounce is based on the Pokemon’s speed stat! (on by default)
- All Shiny Images – Pokemon images are their shiny sprite (off by default).
- Shiny Easter Egg – When Pokemon are generated, there is a 1/4096 chance for their sprite to generate as a Shiny sprite! If you have the “All Shiny Images” turned on this behavior is reversed, so there is a 1/4096 for the Pokemon to generate as non-Shiny (on by default).
- Basic/All Filters Operator – This setting adjusts how the generator handles the filters.
- Match one per Filter is the default and how the generator has worked previously. Simply, returned Pokemon must match at least one value per set filter. A Pokemon doesn’t need to match all values set in a single filter, just at least one in each.
- Match all – Returned Pokemon must match all set filter values (AND operator).
- Match one – Returned Pokemon must match at least one set filter value (OR operator).
- These settings can be saved, so when you return to the generator (using the same browser/device) your previous settings will be loaded up!
- Additionally settings for the generator to control the output. Available settings are:
- Minor UI updates/optimizations – I previously used a toolkit to quickly set up the UI for the generator. This added extra overhead though and made it harder to make minor tweaks to the layout. I’ve removed this toolkit and rebuilt the UI to match the previous style as best I could, but there will be slight differences.
A shorter update this time, but, as always, thanks for reading! Here’s a link to the generator.
